Celebrating Christmas in Clearwater Florida

Clearwater Florida – On December 4th 2007 the Pinellas Ladies Prayer Committee of Florida held The Inaugural “Calling All Angels” Happy Birthday to Jesus Party. It was held at the Matheos Hall in Clearwater Florida. This is an event that my friend Dr. Psalms Mack worked to pull together.

Making Christmas Special for Tampa Bay Military Families

It was an evening of celebration supporting our Tampa Bay Military families and to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.  The “Happy Birthday to Jesus” planning committee was comprised of individuals from various religious backgrounds who came together to put Christian Principles into practice through the simple acts of kindness. Their mission is to support Pinellas County Military families.

The inspiration for the “Calling All Angels” came from Matt Glowacki’s Troop Tribute (from his Faith based video highlights) to all who have served so honorably in our military.

If you want to watch a moving video I highly encourage you to check it out on Matt’s website.

The Mistress of Ceremonies for this inaugural evening was Mrs. Mary K. Willson. We were treated to an awesome evening of entertainment from those who sang and danced for us. There were vocal performances by Kim and Kalix Ballestero, Laura Peterson, Emily Barnash and our local news anchor and veteran, John Wilson. We also had Ellen Noel and Heather Sparkman who performed Silent Night in American Sign Language.

There was a lovely Liturgical Performance by the Anointed Praise and Seasoned Saints and a Litergical Mime Performance by All in the Family Cousins.
The children also enjoyed hearing Dr. James Gill and his wife, Mrs. Heather Gill read and share The Jesus Story.

The Mayor of Clearwater, Frank Hibbard attended and even ended up sitting next to my son, Sean and I.  Sean decided to tease me by ducking in the first picture and just looked up grinning like Dennis the Menace at me.  Can you tell he’s use to me and my picture taking (lol)

We all ended the evening by singing “Happy Birthday to Jesus” and then we enjoyed the birthday cake and also we all wrote Christmas cards to those serving in the Military.

The evening was a huge success and everyone enjoy experiencing the true meaning of Christmas. If you are interested in attending next year or helping with the committee feel free to contact me and let me know. It’s a great way to make a difference in our own community!
