Sandpearl Resort on Clearwater Beach | Find Luxury and Fine Art
Clearwater Beach Florida – Clearwater Beach’s new “pearl by the sea” is the Sandpearl Resort and Residences.
If you haven’t been there yet you need to go and check it out – it is luxury beach living at it’s finest.
The JMC Corporation and Mike Cheezem took great effort to capture our local Clearwater Beach history and also preserve the ambiance in this new Clearwater luxury resort.
The Sandpearl Resort’s lobbies contain large murals depicting authentic life on Clearwater Beach – above and below the waves, as well as other paintings by artist, and local native, Christopher M Still. The murals greet you as you enter the Sandpearl resort and set the tone for your comfortable yet luxurious beach experience.
Christopher M Still, acclaimed artist, is having an exhibit of his collection, Return to Picnic Island at the Sandpearl Resort. His artwork for this exhibit is based on local history, families, sea life and the natural habitats found from exploring the Island of Caladesi and Clearwater Beach.
I had the pleasure of being part of a private tour of the Christopher M. Still Studio of Fine Painting recently located at 324 East Lemon Street in Tarpon Springs Florida if you’d like to learn more about the artist and these paintings you may enjoy my article Sandpearl Resort of Clearwater Beach is a Showcase for local Artist, Christopher M Still.
Things to do in Clearwater Beach
You’re invited to a FREE Public Art exhibit. The painting to the right is one of Still’s works entitled “Lasting Memories” and is what Sandpearl hopes families have year after year as they visit this 5 star luxury resort.
Don’t miss this amazing exhibit – Still’s paintings are something to behold. The exhibition is FREE and open to the public from 9am to 2pm on Saturday.
Since parking is limited on Clearwater Beach –there will be a free trolley service between downtown Clearwater and the Sandpearl Resort approximately every 20 minutes and you can catch it at:
- The Harborview Center at 300 Cleveland Street,
- Coachman Park on Drew Street,
- The Municipal Service Garage or
- The Garden Avenue Garage.
Still’s artwork will be auctioned off later that evening at a Dinner and Sale of Original Paintings being held this Saturday, October 27, 2007.
The tickets are $125 and will include a Private Exhibition, cocktail hour, dinner, music and a silent auction of original work.
Sandpearl Resort – A Sneak Peak into Perfection
Here are some pictures I took on a recent visit to the Sandpearl Resort;
When you check in you will be greeted by Still’s mural “Beneath the Waves”: – If you go see if you can find the room key underwater?
The other mural researched and painted by Still is located behind the front desk to left when you enter the Sandpearl is “Return to Picnic Island” and the namesake of this art exhibit – Now can you find the same room key on the beach?
When we visited him in his private studio Christopher shared with us that his paintings give tourists “a little education on the beach and what they can expect to find on the beach.”
I hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity to experience both the Sandpearl Resort and Christopher Still’s artwork – I promise you won’t be disappointed by either!
Christopher Still’s next project will keep him close to home in Pinellas County since he will be creating a one-of-a-kind masterpiece for Ruth Eckerd Hall of Clearwater.
